The JL Wrangler was unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show on 29 November 2017 and production began that month, while the JK was sold alongside it for 2018 with minimal changes until it ended on 27 April 2018 and the plant was retooled for the Gladiator. A Wrangler JK decal on the front fenders told the outgoing model from its successor. The 2018 Wrangler JL appeared in a Jurassic World themed Super Bowl commercial.
