The 2023 model year was the last for the Cherokee KL, and the Belvidere Assembly Plant ceased production of the Cherokee on 28 February 2023. The Latitude Lux, X and Limited trims remained until the end, and the Cherokee name has been used on the front drive compact crossover since 2014. The Latitude Lux trim remained available until 2023, and Belvidere was the plant that built the car through its last February.
