Changes for 1965 were largely confined to the front fascia and trim, with a large chromed crossbar replacing the split grille, headlights inset behind glass covers and a conventional steering column shift lever replacing the push button transmission control. Claro walnut trim, from one hundred year old trees according to the sales literature, was added to the interior. Production totaled 18,409 cars, in a year when Chrysler sales as a whole rose by nearly forty percent.
