The 1960 Imperial adopted wildly exaggerated styling, with a swooping front bumper, a gaping mesh grille, a giant chrome eagle, hooded quad headlights and tall rear fins with bullet taillamps, plus the High Tower driver's seat and a return to 15 inch wheels. LeBarons gained a smaller formal rear window for privacy. Sales increased to 17,719, and the Imperial again finished ahead of Lincoln, for the last time, while it kept body on frame construction when the rest of the lineup went unibody.
