1957 Hudson Hornet

Automobiles

By 1957 the Hornet was the only Hudson model left, offered in Super and Custom trim as a four door sedan or a two door Hollywood hardtop, with big egg crate grille, body side creases and tri tone paint schemes for the Custom. The price was cut and power rose with American Motors' new V8 rated at 255 horsepower. Following the industry's ban on factory supported racing, Hornet production ended on 25 June 1957 and the Hudson name was discontinued. Total 1957 output was 4,108 cars, 3,359 sedans and 749 hardtops.
