1953 Hudson Hornet

Automobiles

Changes for 1953 were modest, mainly a revised grille and a hood ornament shaped like an air scoop that did not actually admit air. Four body styles remained available, the club coupe, four door sedan, Hollywood hardtop and Convertible Brougham, and an eight tube radio cost an extra hundred dollars. Hudson's racing record stayed strong that year, but sales kept falling. Hornet output for the 1953 model year totaled 27,208 cars, of which around 910 were the Hollywood hardtops.
