The AP2 is the second variant of the Honda S2000, introduced for the 2004 model year with several significant changes: production moved to Suzuka, 17 inch wheels and a retuned suspension arrived, and new bumpers, headlights and LED tail lights changed the exterior. In North America a larger 2,157 cc F22C1 engine gave the car its AP2 chassis designation, while Japanese, Australian and European cars kept the 2.0 liter F20C until the F22C1 reached Japan in 2006. The variant added the Club Racer and Type S trims and ended with the 2009 model year, when Honda ended production. Each model year of this variant has its own page.
