For the 1999 model year the Honda Prelude received a mid cycle refresh, which included a 5 hp increase in power for manual transmission models to 200 hp from 195 hp and for automatic transmission models to 195 hp from 190 hp, a new front grille featuring a small Prelude badge, an access door to the cabin air filtration system allowing the cabin air filter to be replaced without modifications, and changes to available colours.
