The first-generation Honda Elysion went on sale on 13 May 2004, after being previewed at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show as the ASM concept. It entered production about six months after the concept, with an updated interior trim, a front grille that was redesigned and headlights that were revised, and Honda officially launched it for Japan in mid 2004.
