The Honda e had one generation, built on a dedicated electric platform with a rear motor and rear wheel drive for agility and compact proportions in cities, with a water cooled battery pack inside the wheelbase for an even 50/50 weight split. The motor puts out 100 or 113 kW with 315 N m of torque, and Honda claimed around 220 km of range from the 35.5 kWh lithium ion battery pack. The project was led by Kohei Hitomi, and the exterior styling team was led by Ken Sahara. The production version is available only as a five door model. Each model year has its own page.
