The first generation Honda Ascot (CB1 to CB4) was a sister car to the fourth-generation Honda Accord, created because the Honda Primo dealer network needed an Accord-based compact sedan. Mechanically the Ascot was the same as the Accord sedan, and it shared its interior, dashboard included, with the Accord, while its body panels were its own, with a greenhouse of six lights and headlight units borrowed from the Honda Inspire. It came in five trim levels with 1.8 litre or 2.0 litre engines, and from March 1992 the Ascot Innova pillared hardtop was sold alongside it. Each model year has its own page.
