The first-generation Honda Amaze, chassis DF1 and DF2, debuted in India in April 2013 and was developed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand. Honda built it at facilities in Greater Noida and Rajasthan, claimed more than 90 percent localisation for it, and it was the first Indian Honda to offer a diesel engine. The 1.5 liter N15A1 four cylinder turbo diesel engine was first made specifically for the Amaze, which was later used in the Mobilio and the BR-V. In Thailand and the Philippines it was sold as the Brio Amaze. Each model year has its own page.
