Honda introduced the third-generation Accord in Japan on 4 June 1985, with Europe and North America following later in the year. Toshi Oshika styled its eye-catching body in 1983, with concealed headlamps, and it took the Car of the Year Japan Award at launch and was the first Honda with double wishbone suspension on both axles. Besides the sedan it was sold as a three door hatchback, the three door shooting brake called the Accord AeroDeck, and from the 1988 model year a coupe built only at Marysville. Each model year of this generation has its own page.
