Holden Commodore (third generation, 1997 to 2006)

Automobiles

With the VT Commodore of 1997 Holden looked again to Opel in Germany for a donor platform, taking the Opel Omega B and broadening its width and mechanical setup for local conditions. The VT heralded semi trailing arm independent rear suspension as standard across the range. The third generation spawned the most body styles, with a new Holden Ute in 2000, the reborn Monaro in 2001 and the Crewman and Adventra in 2003. Its model years run from 1997 to 2006.
