The Subaru Outback Sport was the Impreza-derived, off-road themed hatchback that Subaru sold from 1994 to 2011 beside the Legacy-derived Outback wagon. It arrived in North America for the 1995 model year as a trim line of the Impreza hatchback with all-wheel drive, a roof rack, mud flaps and two-tone paint, then ran for three generations that followed the Impreza, and in Australia the Impreza RV carried similar styling changes. It was priced lower than the Outback wagon and aimed at younger buyers, and its successor was the Subaru XV, now sold as the Crosstrek.
