The Opel Junior is a concept car designed and built by the German automobile manufacturer Opel and first shown at the 1983 Frankfurt Motor Show. The three-door supermini was only 3.41 metres long, used a 1.2-litre petrol engine of 55 PS, and reached a drag coefficient of Cd 0.31 with a kerb weight of 650 kg. Its interior was modular: dashboard elements such as the stereo and clock could be removed, and the seat covers could double as sleeping bags. The design was based on the Opel Corsa, and the name Junior was later used as the codename for the Opel Adam released at the end of 2012.
