Honda Motor Company made the Honda Z, also sold as the Z600, a two door kei car and city car, from 1970 to 1974. Exports mostly ended after 1972, when the domestic market models received redesigned pillarless bodywork. Honda subsequently marketed a kei class SUV from 1998 to 2002, bearing no relation to the first Z but bearing the same nameplate. This page covers both: the first generation, a sport coupe version of the N600 with a total production of 40,586 units, and the second generation, a retro styled 656 cc mid engine SUV introduced in 1998 and discontinued in autumn 2002. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 2 generations: the 1970 to 1974 (1970 to 1974 model years); the 1998 to 2002 (1998 to 2002 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
