The Datsun redi-Go is a city car that Nissan's Datsun brand produced, initially intended for the Indian market and aimed at a younger buyer. A concept vehicle was shown at the 2014 Auto Expo and the production model was unveiled on 14 April 2016. It uses the CMF-A platform of the Renault Kwid with the same 0.8-liter BR08 three-cylinder petrol engine of 40 kilowatts and a five-speed manual gearbox, and a 1.0-liter BR10 option of 50 kilowatts was added in 2017. The redi-Go is lighter and shorter than the Kwid and has a larger ground clearance of 185 millimetres. The Indian model with a driver airbag scored one star for adult occupants in a 2019 Global NCAP test.
