Honda began selling the Fit Hybrid in Japan in October 2010, and it was then the cheapest gasoline hybrid electric vehicle sold there; the European Jazz Hybrid appeared at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. By September 2010, cumulative Japanese Fit sales reached 1.5 million units, and global cumulative sales reached 3.5 million in July 2010. Honda also showed a concept electric vehicle based on the second generation Fit in 2010, and the 2010 Fit won the Best Overall Value award from Consumer Reports.
