On 15 May 2000 the L grade was added to the Honda Life lineup, equipped with a CD player with AM/FM tuner, automatic air conditioning, privacy glass and electric remote door mirrors in the body colour. A Select special edition based on the G came out on 19 October 2000, and a redesigned model with a turbocharged engine, the Honda Life Dunk, arrived on 20 December 2000, with a sportier look, more aggressively styled headlamps and a large opening in the front bumper. The Life Dunk was given the model codes JB3 and JB4.
