2000 Ford Transit

Automobiles

The Transit introduced in July 2000 was the third all new design and borrowed styling cues from Ford's New Edge designs like the Focus and Ka. It used the Puma type Duratorq turbo diesel also found in the 2000 Mondeo and the Jaguar X Type, and the petrol versions moved up to the 2.3 liter 16 valve straight four. A demonstration of the speed of the model, with the smallest panel van body and the 2.4 liter turbo diesel, was shown on Top Gear in 2005.
