Euro NCAP tested the Puma again in 2022, giving it a four star overall rating. A Group Rally1 car, named the Ford Puma Rally1, has been competing in the World Rally Championship since 2022, developed to replace the Ford Fiesta WRC. The Puma was a B segment subcompact crossover SUV based on the Ford global B car platform of the seventh generation Fiesta.
