The sixth generation Mustang, the S550, was introduced for the 2015 model year and was the first Mustang marketed globally, with factory right hand drive versions. It offered a 3.7 liter V6, a 2.3 liter EcoBoost turbo four and a 5.0 liter GT V8, and the independent rear suspension that earlier special models had used. The Shelby GT350, with a 526 horsepower flat plane crank 5.2 liter V8, debuted in November 2014, and a 50 Year Limited Edition marked the car's anniversary.
