Ford presented the 2010 Mustang on 18 November 2008, with production starting on 12 January 2009 and sales in March 2009. It was a revision of the 2005 to 2009 cars on the same D2C platform, with a restyled emblem, new headlights with integrated turn signals, a prominent powerdome hood and sequential LED taillights. It was the first of the line to be sold in Japan, as a left hand drive car with lighting changed to meet Japanese regulations, and AdvanceTrac stability control and 17 inch wheels became standard.
