The Landau of 1978 was built in a total of 3,903 cars, all in a blue grey colour. It was a four door sedan with its own restyled body after 1976, which looked like the 1965 Lincoln Continental, and a 5.0 litre V8 engine from the Galaxie. The Landau was Ford's top model in Brazil and the only large American style sedan the company built there. Ford Brasil produced it at its São Paulo area plant for twelve years.
