Ford Brasil built 3,539 Landaus in 1973, in what was the first year with a reliable production figure for the flagship model. The car was a full size four door sedan based on the American Galaxie, and it was built at the Via Anchieta plant in São Paulo. Ford Brasil produced it at its São Paulo area plant for twelve years. The Landau was Ford's top model in Brazil and the only large American style sedan the company built there.
