In 2011 Ford presented a mid cycle facelifted version of the Latin American Ka following the Kinect concept car, with only the Sport version in Brazil offering a 1.6 litre engine. The Tattoo Individual pack was replaced in 2011 by the Metal. In the same year the Ka in its most basic Latin American market configuration with no airbags received 1 star for adult occupants from Latin NCAP. The Latin American Ka was a separate model on the first generation chassis, designed and engineered in Brazil.
