In 2008 the Fusion continued as Ford's tall mini MPV in Europe, assembled at Cologne Niehl and exported to more than fifty countries. It used the platform of the fifth generation Fiesta and kept the 2005 facelift look. It held a four star NCAP crash safety rating and offered the Style plus, Zetec and Titanium trims in Britain with optional extras such as Bluetooth voice control. Options available in the range included automatic windscreen wipers, a trip computer and power folding mirrors.
