The last Festiva was built until 2002, when Mazda ceased making the Demio that it was based on and the badge engineered Festiva Mini Wagon came to an end in Japan. The Festiva name had been used by Ford since 1986 over three generations, one of them under Aspire badges in North America. The Festiva was a small Mazda designed hatchback that Ford sold in several markets, some of them under other names. Kia in South Korea built most of the cars sold under the Festiva and Aspire names, and sold the same design as the Pride and the Avella.
