When the facelifted EF was introduced in August 1994, it brought a new curvaceous body shape while sharing its doors and most of its body structure with the earlier EA to ED series. Unlike the sedan, the station wagon inherited the rear styling of the ED. The 4.0 litre six was upgraded to 157 kilowatts, including the removal of the distributor as it was replaced with a coil pack ignition system, a first for the Falcon. The Falcon was a full size car made by Ford Australia.
