Ford updated its Falcon lineup with the Series II update in October 2006. The BF II turbo models had an engine upgrade and came with the same engine as the FPV Typhoon internally, with the XR6 Turbo running 6 PSI boost pressure. Select trim levels in the BF II range, the XT, Futura and Fairmont, saw a modified front end with a more sporting image and more aerodynamic. The entry level XT could be specified with the six speed automatic.
