In November 2016 Ford announced plans to supply the EcoSport from India to the United States. The EcoSport's mid cycle updates were announced at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show for the 2018 model year, including a revised front end design and a redesigned rear bumper, with an optional 8 inch floating touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The EcoSport was a subcompact crossover SUV based on the Fiesta B2E platform, designed at the Ford Brazil Development Center.
