The 1983 Del Rey had a standard five speed manual gearbox with an optional three speed automatic, and ran on either petrol or ethanol. The Prata and Ouro versions were offered as the basic and the top of the line models, and the car was sold only in Brazil and a few neighbouring countries. It ran on either petrol or ethanol and was replaced by the Versailles, a Volkswagen Santana based car. The Del Rey was a large family car that Ford built in Brazil, based on the Corcel II and sold under the Belina name as a wagon.
