A short production run of 2012 model year cars for the Middle East began in August 2011, and the entire batch was exported there. A 2012 Crown Victoria was the final vehicle produced at St. Thomas. It was the only Panther platform vehicle produced for the 2012 model year, since the Grand Marquis and Town Car had ended as 2011 models. The lack of electronic stability control, mandatory for all new vehicles in the US and Canada from the 2012 model year, was another reason it ended.
