1953 Ford Country Squire

Automobiles

For 1953, marking the 50th anniversary of Ford, the Country Squire featured a commemorative steering wheel center and the rear door armrests became standard. In 1953 power steering became an option. It was offered with a 110 horsepower 239 cubic inch V8, and in contrast to the Country Sedan two tone paint was not offered, with exterior colors color keyed to the wood trim and a single tan and brown interior color scheme. The Country Squire was the top level Ford station wagon, distinguished by woodgrain bodyside trim.
