It was a badge engineered Nissan Pintara sold by Ford Australia as a four door sedan and a five door liftback in GL and Ghia trim, sold side by side with the Telstar, which was available only as the TX5 hatchback. It was produced under the model sharing scheme known as the Button Plan. The Corsair UA was a badge engineered Nissan Pintara sold by Ford Australia.
