The Corcel II, launched in 1977 for the 1978 model year, had a completely remade design with straight lines and was a fastback two door sedan, with the Belina wagon, and dropped the four door body. The GT remained, and a Pampa pickup followed in 1982. It was slightly facelifted for 1985 and became simply the Corcel again, ending in 1986. Its model years run from 1978 to 1986. The Corcel was a front wheel drive family car that Ford sold in Brazil and neighbouring countries, built on Renault underpinnings.
