A minor facelift in 1975 subtly changed the grille and headlight surrounds and moved the Ford logo from the grille to the leading edge of the bonnet, and the taillights became single piece units. The luxurious LDO version, a coupe or estate, was new for 1975, and the locally developed 1.4 gradually replaced the 1.3. Ford do Brasil gained the design when it bought Willys do Brasil in 1967. The Corcel was a front wheel drive family car that Ford sold in Brazil and neighbouring countries, built on Renault underpinnings.
