A coupe was added in 1969 to attract buyers looking for a second car, and it quickly became the fastest selling version of the Corcel. A three door station wagon, the Belina, followed it. The early Corcels had severe quality problems, and sales suffered because of them. Ford do Brasil gained the design when it bought Willys do Brasil in 1967. The Corcel was a front wheel drive family car that Ford sold in Brazil and neighbouring countries, built on Renault underpinnings.
