Production of the Bronco New Energy began at the Nanchang factory on 12 December 2025, and one of the first examples built was the two hundred thousandth SUV made at that factory. It was made by Ford's joint venture with Jiangling Motors and used the Bronco name. It is Ford's first extended range electric vehicle and also comes in a battery electric version. The Bronco New Energy is a mid size SUV that Ford's Chinese joint venture builds, and it is not mechanically related to the American Bronco.
