The 1.6 liter versions, as well as the 2.0 Sport model, of the Xedos 6 were withdrawn from production in 1998, a year before the remaining versions were withdrawn. The Mazda Eunos 500 of 1998 was in its seventh year. In total 72,101 Xedos 6 and Eunos 500 cars were produced. The 2 liter V6 produced 144 horsepower and was praised for its smooth, free revving nature. In total 72,101 Xedos 6 and Eunos 500 automobiles were produced.
