For 1989 the Medallion was marketed as the Eagle Medallion through the newly formed Jeep Eagle division, and the car did not carry Chrysler's Pentastar but the Eagle head logo and an imported for Eagle badge on the rear. It was covered by Chrysler's new seven year, seventy thousand mile 7/70 Protection Plan. Chrysler decided to stop importing the Medallion from Renault at the end of the 1989 model year, which also ended any chance of a four wheel drive Eagle wagon.
