For 1971 the Coronet line was built only as four door sedans and station wagons, so the Super Bee moved to the platform of the Charger. Since a Charger R/T already existed, the Super Bee was promoted as the low priced car in the line, at about $3,271. It was the first and only year that a small block 340 engine was offered in the Super Bee, and the model was dropped on the home market until 2007. Its only model year was 1971.
