2001 Dodge Stratus

Automobiles

An updated version was introduced for the 2001 model year when the Cirrus was rebranded as the Chrysler Sebring, and a coupe body style was added to the lineup. Introduced for the 2001 model year, the Dodge Stratus Coupe replaced the discontinued Avenger two door. The coupes were entirely different cars based on the Mitsubishi Eclipse's ST-22 platform, built at the former Diamond Star Motors plant. In Mexico the turbocharged engine of the Stratus R/T received upgrades for 2001, boosting its output to 215 horsepower.
