The 1986 Omni GLH-T vehicles are largely distinguished by their center brake light. Shelby Automobiles purchased the final 500 1986 GLH-T, all in black, and used them as the basis for the 1986 Shelby GLHS, Goes Like Hell S'more, modified by the company in California and legally sold as Shelbys. The Omni five door hatchback continued, built at Belvidere Assembly in Illinois. It was the last year of the Omni GLH.
