For 1985 and 1986 Shelby offered the GLH with an optional 146 horsepower 2.2 liter Turbo I four, the GLH-T. The Omni GLH continued as the highest performance Dodge Omni, and in 1985 Chrysler entered an agreement with American Motors Corporation to produce Chrysler M body vehicles at its Kenosha, Wisconsin facility, an arrangement that in 1987 would be extended to the Omni and Horizon. The Omni was assembled at the Belvidere Assembly Plant in 1985.
