The Scion tC is a compact car that Toyota made under its Scion brand from 2004 to 2016 in two generations, the ANT10 of 2004 to 2010 and the AGT20 of 2011 to 2016, both built in Japan. It was shown as a production car at the North American International Auto Show in January 2004, sales began in May 2004 as a 2005 model, and Canada received it with the second generation. The name stands for touring coupe, and from 2011 it was sold as the Toyota Zelas in the Middle East, China and South America. It was Scion's best seller, constituting almost 40 percent of total Scion sales, with over 79,000 units in 2006, though sales fell to about 15,000 by 2010.
