The Lexus RC is a compact executive two-door coupe that Lexus unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. It is the coupe version of the XE30 generation of the Lexus IS, carries the series code XC10, and borrowed its styling from the LF-LC concept after the LF-CC concept previewed it. Pansoo Kwon proposed the design between 2010 and early 2012, and Yasuo Kajino and Tatsuya Takei approved it. Lexus says the name stands for Radical Coupe. The first engines were a 2.5 litre hybrid in the RC 300h, a 3.5 litre V6 in the RC 350 and a 5.0 litre V8 in the high-performance RC F, and a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine was added in 2015.
