The Alvis TB 21 was a two-seater open car made by Alvis for 1951 only, on the running gear of the TA 21 saloon. AP Metalcraft, who had bodied the TB 14, adapted their design to the new chassis and dropped the controversial grille for the traditional Alvis one, keeping the rear-hinged, heavily cut-away doors and a windscreen that folded flat. The 2,993 cc engine was tuned to 90 bhp with a single SU carburettor, and a lower final drive ratio helped speed and economy, so the car could reach 95 mph. At 1,598 pounds it was very expensive and sold in small numbers.
