For 1986 there were four distinct trim levels. The base Sport Coupe kept its body panels of 1981 but got new aero side mirrors like those of the Camaro and Corvette, and the new Luxury Sport had a revised front fascia and an updated sleek rear fascia. The Super Sport used the previous year's rear bumper, and the new Aerocoupe model had a more deeply sloped rear window and a shorter trunk lid with a lower spoiler.
